Founded in March 1949, the Swedish – Indian association is politically and religiously independent, open to all nationalities and ages.
Today, the association has about 200 members and its purpose servs to establish good relations between India and Sweden. Apart from lectures on Indian culture and society, expositions, film, music and other mediums are used in order to spread Indian culture and information in Sweden. Most events are held in Swedish, but a few lectures or seminars each year are in English.
